Pros: Very, pretty decent picture. Black colors are really dark, inky for my first-time. 24fps, 1080P full HD really dealing best. 3D is preferable to a few was expecting. Apps are cool and launch pretty quickly. Off angle viewing is nice, far better than my older LCD.

Cons: Pricey. Qwerty keyboard remote is funky, a tad awkward. Browser needs improvement. 3D requires glasses, wish they didn't. Plasma uses more power than LCD.

Summary: We have owned my PN59D8000 for around two weeks now. Until now it is often excellent to get affordable. First the superb; the image. Precisely what is going on opinion. What's the point to get a completely new TV whenever it doesn't complete a great picture. The PN59D8000 constitutes a great picture. I'm no Cnet David Katzmaier, I haven't seen 100s of TV's, but The only a few things i like lake look at it but this TV will make a good, to great picture. I absolutely enjoy watching a very good, well-made, high visual content movie in whole 1080P HD, 24fps. We have watched standard def, 1080 I/P HD and high def 3D. The conventional def is great, far better than my older 52" A650 Samsung LCD in several ways, but no matter how you work, will still be standard def. The HD picture is really what it is all about, it's excellent, with blacks so dark and inky, the most suitable I've seen all ready. The contrast and detail is a plus. Very smooth transitions, panning. 3D is cool, different, awkward. To start with, Cleaning it once a watching some ESPN 3D NBA (Directv) all through the daytime in a very well lit room & I actually noticed the flashing, pulsing belonging to the 3D glass lenses off screen for the TV from your sides. With me this is a little nauseating, but during night or while using the curtains closed within the dark or darker room, the actual result was really good and comfortable. The 3D depth and detail was excellent, as good as things i was expecting actually. I now wish that there is going to be more good 3D content available, form of limited. Favorable; the browser and qwerty keyboard is a bit minor disillusioned, but nonetheless good. I get a Home Theater PC accompanied by a hand-held qwerty remote, first I believed that setup was just OK, but compared to the Samsung qwerty remote/browser, the Windows 7/IE9/Firefox browser is certainly more suitable. Who'd have thought. The Samsung browser is an useful one, to generate net putz around, nonetheless the remote requires a touch-pad/trackball big time. The Samsung commercial showing the couple just breezing through web site turns out to be unreal to my advice. Maybe a lot easier practice and understanding We could you have to be proficient. Your mileage can vary. The Samsung apps are cool and launch quickly. Netflix arises quickly and plays smoothly. Wired Ethernet here. Five star picture. 1/2 a star ding for that browser/remote. 4 1/2 stars overall. Additional TV's i was considering were the latest upcoming 2011 Panasonic plasma's. This year's Panasonic VT model plasma can be good on top of that, but now the 2011 VT model will not be out yet along with the 60" VT could be seen as not affordable for my budget. So there it will be, a LCD owner converting to Plasma, because of the picture, a result of picture. Enjoy.
