My only complaint would be that the browser seems slow.
Any reactions to connectivity seem like attributable to Comcast (since any problems appear to be shared with my computer). Sound is OK and incorporates a pseudo-surround sound setting, but I run sound output run through my home theater receiver, so that i can't really comment.
I've got it connected via ethernet, therefore i can't reply to human eye the wireless access, nevertheless ethernet connection is very effective on many apps. I just up-graded my older DLP rear-projection HDTVs to new flat screens. Now I wander in to the kitchen for popcorn but still be seamlessly in synch whenever i retreat to those great tv.
Finally, Samsung has moved to an "e-manual" (even including an unique button around the remote labeled "E-MANUAL") in place of including a detailed paper manual. The QWERTY side on the remote works as advertised, but takes somewhat getting used to. The image during this TV is amazing - easily possibly the best which have noticed among all your other plasmas. Blacks are certainly black along with the color can quickly be adjusted from fairly intense (dynamic) to muted (movie) by the standard pre-sets. The 3D image is very good, without having ghosting and having superior depth. A big advantage is it is easily searchable (as contrasted while using poor and inadequate index observed in most paper manuals) and might be constantly updated if accessed across the net. Given the entire potential adjustments and inter-connectivity options, an e-manual is reasonable but Almost certainly we will see folks who miss a 200-page paper manual to clutter up their coffee table. Once paired, however, it works on room. The PN59D8000 is one of Samsung's net-enabled "Smart TVs" which supplies you usage of a considerable amount of apps in addition to a net browser. As usual, you can get multiple picture adjustments which could tailor the image to one's exact preference.
I've lived with it approximately every four weeks, so can't touch upon long-term reliability, but these Samsung LCD & DLP HDTVs had no problems over not too long.
**** A pretty important note: For ones initial pairing process to the remote, just be sure to support the remote directly in front of the TV (what i mean 5" roughly) or it will eventually can't pair properly. I chose the PN59D8000 plasma for my main TV for the superior 3D performance when compared with LED LCDs.
